Painting
In a world where we are flooded with harsh images of disasters, scandals, distortions and horrors I see painting as an island of calm and of light, where we can stop, take in air and gather strength before embarking on the race of life again. The inspiration for the works comes from small everyday moments, random things that were fleeting and forgotten and the painting is what gives them eternal life. Among the beautiful moments are also works that relate to the difficulties we face, including the attrition and alienation that most of us encounter at various points along the way.
The architectural and engineering influence is evident in my works in the engineering forms and precisely their demarcation. I explore in paintings the formal structure of objects as well as less tangible things such as light, reflections and transparencies.
